On behalf of the Jeff Katon Scholarship Foundation, we extend our sincere congratulations to 2009 scholarship recipient Emily Natoli, who graduated from Vanderbilt University this weekend!

Emily is celebrating her success with a road trip with one of her best friends to Los Angeles this week.

“Next year I am going to be a Teach for America Corps Member in Houston, TX teaching middle school English at YES Prep Northside!,” she said.

During the Vanderbilt commencement ceremony, Mr. Robert Bruininks was quoted on the university Twitter page as saying, “Investment in our young people is an investment in our prosperity.”

At the Jeff Katon Scholarship Foundation, we couldn’t agree more. It has been our mission since our inception to support Beaufort County emerging leaders as they chase their dreams.

The Jeff Katon Scholarship Foundation is a private tax-exempt foundation established in loving memory of Jeffrey Paul Katon, who died in August 2006.
